I have decided to set myself a new challenge. Several new challenges, in fact. Did you know that there were card sketches on page 22 of the annual catalog? There are! I want to make a card to match each sketch.

I am also challenging my self to use some of my older stamps. Do you have older stamps that you have forgotten about? Confession time, I have some sets I have never used! I need to rectify that. I also have sets where I have used just some of the stamps, but others I have not touched.

A third challenge … I want to make a Christmas card on the 25th of each month. This will help reduce the pressure of making all my cards when I am already busy with other holiday preparations.

So, with that being said, I decided to start with the very first sketch. I am using the Flaky Friends stamp set that I got in 2004.

I made the top layer 3 by 3 3/4 inches to better fit my stamp. I used the Dashing DSP from 2007. Yes- I am going way back for this card. I also found that I have never used the tree stamp fro this set. So here are two cards I made to meet my challenges… What do you think?
